Between September 16 and 20, Xiaomi filed a series of trademark oppositions against similar brands, including 'MI NOTES' for notebooks, 'MI' for software and telemetry sensors, 'XIAOMOJEW' for jewelry, and 'POPCO' for data cables, which resembles its 'POCO' trademark. As the third-largest smartphone vendor worldwide, Xiaomi shipped over 153 million smartphones in 2022, capturing nearly 13% of the global market, trailing only Apple and Samsung. Beyond smartphones, Xiaomi has gained traction in wearables, ranking third in 2022 with nearly 35 million shipments. The company has expanded into smart home products and IoT/AI technologies, boasting 620 million AIoT devices by 2023, signaling its intention to strengthen its foothold in emerging tech markets.
