Campbell Soup Company Eyes Name Change Amid Product Line Expansion
Sep/12/2024

Executives at the 155-year-old Campbell Soup Company plan to rename the firm "The Campbell's Company" to better reflect its expanding portfolio, which now includes snacks, sauces, and beverages alongside its iconic soups. CEO Mark Clouse announced the proposed name change ahead of a shareholder vote at the company’s annual meeting in November. While soup remains central to the business, Campbell has adapted to shifting consumer trends by acquiring brands like Sovos, the maker of Rao’s sauces. Clouse emphasized that Campbell’s soup sales only need to remain stable to meet financial targets, but growth is expected from other product lines, particularly Goldfish crackers, which the company predicts will become its largest brand by 2027. The company's net sales are projected to rise by 9% to 11% in fiscal 2025.
